Tyler Perry’s Sistas | Jordan Is Lowkey The Reason Andi Became Managing Partner In The First Place!
…them to be. And that’s exactly what we see with Andrea Barnes in Sistas. She was initially framed as the protagonist we should root for, but as the seasons progressed, her hypocrisy and selfishness became more glaring.
She holds others to a standard she refuses to follow herself. She cut Jordan off when it was convenient for her career, yet she can’t handle being sidelined when her own drama affects the law firm. The way she discards people—whether it’s Jordan, Robin, or anyone else who no longer serves her interests—proves that she’s not as principled as she pretends to be.
What makes it even worse is that she never acknowledges the damage she causes. Jordan’s life is in ruins largely because of her choices, and instead of taking accountability, she keeps moving forward like nothing happened. And the worst part? She’s probably going to get everything she wants in the end, despite the trail of destruction she leaves behind.
It’s frustrating, but at the same time, it’s also what makes her such a compelling character to analyze. Would you say Andy is intentionally written this way, or do you think the show still expects us to see her as the “hero” of the story?
