Alright, Sistas fans—buckle up!
It’s May, and that means we’re just a couple of months away from Season 9! Slowly but surely, bits and pieces of information are starting to come out. But let’s be real—this upcoming season has been kept tightly under wraps.

So far, what do we know?

Well, there were only a few things floating around online: a casting call looking for a couple of infants… and that one screenshot of Zac and Aaron at the hospital. That’s it.

Oh, and we can’t forget what Devale Ellis said in that radio interview—something about Zac dealing with grief. But beyond that? Radio silence. No leaks, no casting bombs, nothing. Honestly, it wasn’t even a leak—some of the info was just public on sites like Actors Access.

But now? We’ve got three new characters coming in, and this scoop comes straight from Deadline.

Production has wrapped, and although the article says the premiere date wasn’t announced yet—we already know it’s July 16. Mark your calendars!

Let’s talk new cast members:

• Sullivan Jones

• Walnette Marie Santiago

• Donny Carrington (I think that’s how you pronounce his name—sorry if I butchered it!)

Now, here’s the kicker—there’s barely any detail in the article. For example, Santiago will play a character named Nenah. That’s literally all it says: “Santiago will play Nenah.” No context, no backstory, nothing.

The only real tea in the article is that these new faces will be love interests for a couple of special ladies.

Sullivan will play Dr. Vaughn, and Donny is set to play a character named Rock. Naturally, you’d assume Dr. Vaughn might be introduced when we return to the hospital—probably when Karen gives birth. Makes sense, right?

But here’s a wild theory—what if Jazmin is still alive and being treated at the hospital? (Okay, okay… probably not. Just let me dream.)

Anyway, Dr. Vaughn and Rock are apparently coming in as potential love interests. But for who?

Let’s be honest—Season 8 ended in a weird place. Everything involving Jordan, Penelope, Rich, and Tony felt like it was being wrapped up quickly, almost like they were getting written out.

Robin got Jordan out of jail, and he and Penelope seemed ready to ride off into the sunset.
Sabrina told Rich to kick rocks, so we thought he was out.
And Tony? Suddenly reconciled with Danni after that whole Alaska mess? Confusing.

So, if those characters are gone, then who are these new guys for?

One of them could be for Danni. The other, maybe… Sabrina? But then again, what was the whole point of setting up Demani if she’s just going to be paired with someone new?

And please—please—don’t let either of these men be for Andi. She’s just too messy. Every man she touches ends up spiraling. And after that Season 8 finale with Gary? Ugh. Feels like we’re going backward.

If Tyler Perry is planning to revive that toxic Andi–Gary dynamic, I really hope the new guy has way better on-screen chemistry with her than Jordan 2.0 ever did. Just saying.
