Tyler Perry’s Sistas | Season Finale Synopsis: Will Robin Return To London With Penelope?
Alright, “Sistas” fans! So, we still don’t have the synopsis for Episode 21, but we do have the season finale—yes, folks, Episode 22, titled Before You Walk Out of My Life. The Sistas Season 8 finale is set to air on March 12th.
Initially, I thought The Oval would wrap up on March 11th, but I was wrong. Since The Oval started a week after Sistas, it will actually conclude on March 18th. Now, let’s talk about London Bridges—Episode 21.
Andy’s Big Decision
The synopsis states: Andy must decide whether or not she wants to make things work with Robin before he possibly walks out of her life forever.
First of all, up yours, Andy. Seriously. After everything she’s said and done to this man throughout the entire season, she does not deserve a happy ending with him.
I will miss Robin if this is his farewell because he’s been one of the few bright spots of Season 8. But honestly, just like with Preston, I’d rather see Robin leave and find a woman who treats him right than stick around for another season of being mistreated by Andy.
And you know what? I wouldn’t even mind if Penelope left with Robin.
Why London Bridges Makes Sense
At first glance, you might wonder why this episode is titled London Bridges. Well, remember that Robin was initially introduced as a liaison for the law firm from a branch in London. Later, we found out he actually owns the firm.
If you forgot that detail from Season 3 or 4, I don’t blame you. The new writers haven’t done the best job of keeping his character’s background consistent.
Some fans have asked, If Robin owns the firm, why isn’t his name on the building? To my recollection, he told Andy that he deliberately stayed out of the spotlight because a firm owned by older white men would have a higher success rate than one owned by a non-white man. Sad but true.
At the beginning of this season, Robin mentioned that he rushed back upon hearing about Leland’s passing and the need for a managing partner. Now that Andy has taken that role and things have stabilized, Robin technically has no reason to stay.
Should Andy Even Have a Choice?
Let’s be real: Andy does not deserve Robin. Some people don’t like how I’ve been talking about her this season, but I don’t care. She’s an awful person when it comes to relationships.
She even admitted she loves men who try to control her—something Robin has never done. Andy only gets upset when things don’t go exactly the way she wants. She’s walked all over Robin, and now she thinks she can just decide to make it work? Nope.
Could Penelope Leave with Robin?
We don’t know yet if Jordan actually kills Gary, but we do know Gary is locked up without bail. He’s likely facing serious time for attempted—or even successful—murder.
So what’s left for Penelope in Atlanta? Nothing.
Her fiancé betrayed her, killed their unborn child, and then got engaged to Gary. Her brother dumped Gary, got his heart broken, and is now locked up, his career and livelihood in ruins. Staying in ATL would only serve as a painful reminder of everything she’s lost.
Penelope going to London with Robin makes perfect sense. They could have their farewell in the finale, and that would be a major W for both of them.
What Happens to Andy Now?
If Gary is dead, Andy will be stuck with no options. She broke things off with Jordan for good. Robin would be gone. And then what? She’s managing partner, sure—but at what cost?
Maybe this is why we don’t have the synopsis for Episode 21 yet. If Gary’s fate was revealed in that description, it could spoil what happens in Episode 20. If he is dead, that would be a serious wake-up call for Andy.
And let’s be honest—long-distance with Robin wouldn’t work. Sure, he’s rich and has a private jet, but Sistas thrives on relationship drama. Andy having a boyfriend in London wouldn’t fit that dynamic.
So let’s hope Robin finally tells Andy, You had your chances, but I’m done. Let Penelope have the last laugh: I’m leaving with the man who owns the firm—who controls your job. So, buzz off!
At the end of the day, Andy got what she wanted. She stepped over everyone to become managing partner and see her name on the building. But when she looks around, she’ll realize she’s alone.
What did it all cost her? Everything.
That’s my theory. We’ll have to wait and see how things unfold, but what do you think? Should Robin leave for good? Should Penelope go with him? And does Andy even deserve another chance?
