Tyler Perry’s Sistas | The Writers Did Jasmine So Dirty
“Sistas” Season 8: Jasmine’s Shocking Return – And Her Brutal Downfall!
Season 8 of Sistas has come to an end, but it left fans in complete shock—especially those who were eagerly anticipating Jasmine Borders’ big comeback. After years of absence, she made a mysterious return, only to be written off in the most unfair way possible!
Jasmine – The One Who Stabbed Gary, But Then What?
From the final episodes, something told me that Jasmine was behind Gary’s attack. And as expected, she was the one who stabbed him at the wedding venue! But here’s the problem: we didn’t actually see it happen! No flashbacks, no intense moment—just a brief retelling of the incident.
And let’s talk about the biggest plot hole: how did Jasmine manage to sneak into Andy’s Rolls-Royce unnoticed? A luxury car like that should have top-tier security. Plus, didn’t Andy mention earlier that the parking garage had cameras? So how did no one notice Jasmine getting into Andy’s car and kidnapping her right there?
A Frustrating Exit
I was hoping for a more satisfying return for Jasmine, but instead, she was dealt with way too quickly. She came back looking stunning—new hair, a sleek all-black outfit—but all of it was wrapped up in just a few short minutes. The way the writers handled her character was truly disappointing.
There were so many characters who deserved to face consequences, yet it was Jasmine who got removed. She could have played a bigger role in the story. Why didn’t they explore what she knew? Had she ever met Penelope? Could they have teamed up against Andy and Gary out of shared hatred?
I Feel Betrayed!
As someone who has followed and analyzed Sistas from the very beginning, I feel completely betrayed. The writers brought Jasmine back only to dispose of her in such a dull way? Why didn’t they give her a more dramatic ending?
I know that in Tyler Perry’s universe, characters can “come back” at any time, but judging by how this played out, it seems like Jasmine is truly gone. And that makes me lose all faith in the writing team.
From now on, I won’t allow myself to get attached to any character again. Because every time I do, they either get erased or turned into a ridiculous version of themselves. Jasmine Borders—the character I once loved—has now become nothing more than a bitter memory.
I don’t know if I’ll continue watching Sistas in Season 9, but one thing is certain: Jasmine was treated unfairly.
And I will never forget that!
