Tyler Perry’s Sistas | Will Marie Funnel Ill-Gotten Money Through Roots To Riches?

Wait a minute—so we know that Marie is trying to gain control of Gary’s assets. But what if she takes some of that money and invests $150,000 into Roots to Riches on behalf of Zack?

What if that’s the exact amount Zack originally put into Gary’s company but couldn’t get back? If that turns out to be the case, Zack would unknowingly be reinvesting in the company without even realizing it! I made that theory video about a week or two before last week’s episode, where Zack actually said, “Hmm, I wonder if I should invest?”—so I think that’s pretty funny!

But more importantly, fans have been speculating. After learning about Marie’s connection to Hudson, many believe Pam and Karen better watch out. It’s quite possible that Marie could be involved in money laundering. Sure, she’s a billionaire with multiple businesses, but who’s to say those businesses aren’t just fronts for illegal activities?

Ironically, that’s exactly how Gary got into hot water in the first place—using his company as a front for shady dealings, which is why the feds are investigating him now. Could Marie be doing the same thing? Maybe she presents herself as an investor, helping people she believes have potential—whether it’s retail businesses, artists trying to reach the top of the Billboard charts, or any other venture. But in reality, it could all be a way to funnel dirty money.

It’s just like Ruthless, where the cartel runs money and drugs out of their compound. Pam and Karen might be trying to build their company the right way, but without realizing it, the “friendly force” offering them help could actually be setting them up for disaster. That’s why some fans argue that Fatima was right to talk Zack out of investing in Roots to Riches.

Of course, it’s not like Zack or anyone else could have predicted this, but it’s crazy to think that Marie may not be who she claims to be. After all, they say millionaires and billionaires don’t reach their status by playing nice—there’s always some shady business happening behind the scenes.

I really hate to see this because I’ve been rooting for Pam and Karen to succeed. They could work their butts off to build their business legitimately, only for Marie to inject dirty money into their company—something that could come back to bite them later.

It’s the same way we all knew that Gary’s $100,000 donation to Jordan’s campaign was bad news. And sure enough, by the end of the season, Gary revealed his plan to blackmail Andy into marrying him. He outright admitted that the money he put into Jordan’s campaign came from his money-laundering schemes. Worse, he had incriminating evidence that could frame Jordan for mishandling cartel money, which would have destroyed him.

Could Marie be pulling the same move with Pam and Karen? If she gains control of Gary’s assets and injects money into their business, they could be in serious trouble.

Of course, there’s another angle to consider. Hayden managed to blackmail a judge into lifting Hudson’s power of attorney, which means Marie’s deal with him became null and void. Originally, Karen only had two weeks, but after the one-month time skip, Marie’s offer was still on the table.

That means Marie must have given Karen an extension—likely because she hadn’t gotten access to Gary’s assets yet. But if that changes, will she still invest? Or will she just take the $150,000 out of her own pocket instead?
