Tyler Perry’s Sistas | Will The Season Finale Give Us Even MORE Questions Or Finally Answer Some?
Well, this video doesn’t really bring up anything new that we haven’t discussed before, but I still wanted to get your thoughts.
With the season finale dropping in just a few days, do you think any of the long-drawn-out plot points we’ve been following all season will finally be resolved?
In my opinion—no.
I feel like the writers are going to do what Tyler Perry does best: hit the reset button on any potential storyline or character development, just to reestablish the status quo before heading into Season 9.
Take Tony and Danny, for example. I thought they were done, but now it looks like they might actually try to get back together. And then there’s the big question: will Danny accept the proposal? Personally, I don’t want them back together. But if I had to choose, and breaking up wasn’t an option, I’d much rather see them hit the refresh button than continue with this nonsense. Because let’s be real—there is absolutely no good reason for Danny to accept Tony’s proposal.
And then there’s Rich. Why has he suddenly come back to her apartment, declaring his love after everything that happened? After the whole sperm situation? After ghosting her for a month? She literally said, “I choose me,” and now he’s back? It makes no sense.
It feels like these women are about to get everything they want—even though they don’t deserve it.
Now, let’s talk about the two biggest unresolved storylines of the season.
First, who stabbed Gary? At this point, I feel like I need to make a whole separate video titled, “Here’s Everyone Who Didn’t Stab Gary,” because this season has done everything except tell us who actually did it.
Tamara showed up to expose Gary, thinking she could sabotage his marriage before it even started. Hayden recently admitted that he grabbed the knife and almost stabbed Gary but backed out. Jordan was caught trying to strangle him but swears he didn’t stab him. Penelope was covered in blood but doesn’t remember if she did it. The list goes on and on, yet we still have no answer.
Maybe Hudson will finally reveal the truth when he has the gun pointed at Gary. Because, let’s be honest—every villain has to monologue, right? He’s not just going to shoot Gary; he’s going to go on and on about how he’s been wronged, why firing him was a huge mistake, and how he has nothing left to lose. You know how antagonists do.
And now, the other major plotline: Karen’s pregnancy.
I know people hate this storyline, but I don’t think she’s going into labor. If I remember correctly, she wasn’t even in the promo for next week’s episode. So what exactly is she doing?
I just don’t see it happening. The writers messed up. She already had false labor in the midseason finale. If they wanted her to go into real labor during the finale, they should have saved that moment instead of throwing in the fake-out earlier.
And let’s talk about that one-month time jump.
It was a huge mistake.
Nothing about it makes sense. A whole month passed, but Gary’s memory is still messed up? Karen is still pregnant, but her baby bump is actually smaller than it was before? We still don’t know who stabbed Gary? Hayden still has bruises from a beatdown he took a month ago?
The writers basically hit the fast-forward button and threw in 50 new plot points, but they didn’t resolve anything we actually cared about.
So what’s the big fear? That Season 8 is going to end without resolving any of these storylines, making the entire season feel like a complete waste of time.
If that happens, then in hindsight, Season 8 will be totally skippable. But we’ll have to wait until Wednesday night to see if that’s really the case.
Right now, it just feels like this entire season revolved around Who Stabbed Gary?—and we still don’t know the answer. Meanwhile, Gary has been drugged, strangled, had a seizure, technically died on the operating table, and survived it all… yet we’re no closer to finding out who actually attacked him.
At this point, does it even matter anymore?
Of course, Jordan is still on the hook for attempted murder since he tried to strangle Gary. But if he didn’t actually stab him, then what? Sure, he’s guilty of assault, but would he still be charged with attempted murder? Honestly, the justice system in this show is all over the place.
And on top of all that, now we have Andy getting abducted? Why?
This whole storyline feels forced and completely unnecessary. What exactly are we supposed to expect from Season 9?
It’s just so crazy.
Anyway, let me know your thoughts in the comments. Like and subscribe, and I’ll catch you in the next video.
Because honestly? I feel like this season is going to be the biggest waste of time ever.
