Zac & Fatima’s Wedding: When Will It Finally Happen—Sistas Season 10 or Zatima Season 5?
We already know Sistas is returning for Season 10, and Zatima Season 5 is scheduled to begin filming later this year—around August. But the burning question that still hasn’t been answered is: When will Zac and Fatima finally get married?
Let’s be honest: this wedding has been teased for a long time. The engagement was set way back in Zatima Season 1, and it’s even been acknowledged in the Sistas universe. Several months have passed in the show’s timeline, and Zac casually refers to Fatima as his wife all the time. Yet, there’s no wedding date. No planning. Nothing official.
In Sistas Season 7, when Fatima got accepted into law school, there was at least a discussion about setting a date. But with everything that’s been going on since then—drama, breakups, reconciliations—it’s understandable that the wedding hasn’t been a priority. Still, fans are left wondering: When is the right time for this wedding to happen?
Now, I don’t think Season 10 will be the final season of Sistas, but it definitely feels like the show is heading into its big, legacy-defining era. At this point, the Zatima wedding has to happen. The question is—which show should host it? If the wedding takes place in Zatima, it’ll obviously need to be addressed in Sistas, and vice versa. That crossover creates a bit of a timeline headache, especially since both shows are meant to exist in the same universe.
Here’s where things get even more interesting. We already know that Fatima will have a baby bump in Zatima Season 4. That tells us something very important: Zatima’s timeline is likely ahead of Sistas’. If Fatima doesn’t appear pregnant in Sistas Season 9—which makes sense, given the ending of Season 8 and what we know about Season 9—then it’s safe to assume the shows aren’t synced up just yet.
Assuming Zatima Season 4 premieres in late 2025 or early 2026, that would likely coincide with the mid-point or latter half of Sistas Season 9. So where does that leave the wedding?
I personally think the wedding could be saved for Sistas Season 10. And you know what? It would be huge. Not just because of the event itself, but because Sistas would be making history. Aside from House of Payne, which didn’t hit double-digit seasons until the BET reboot, no other Tyler Perry original series has made it to 10 seasons.

So Sistas reaching Season 10 during its original run is a big deal. It would make perfect sense for the wedding to be a centerpiece of that milestone season. Think about it: a lot of iconic Black sitcoms ended with the main couple tying the knot—The Jamie Foxx Show, for example. What if Sistas ends the same way, with Zac and Fatima finally saying “I do”? Then, their story could continue in Zatima, the spin-off. That would be a full-circle moment.
