Tyler Perry’s The Oval | Are Victoria & Eli REALLY D.e.a.d?

Power Play Shocker: Are Eli and Victoria Really D.e.a.d?

After that jaw-dropping ending to Episode 6 of Power Play, where Eli and Victoria were left hanging—literally—in the Oval Office, fans are left with one burning question: Are they still alive?

The only preview I’ve seen so far is the in-credit promo that aired right after the cliffhanger, since I’m recording this at 4:16 a.m. on February 12th and haven’t watched the full 30-second promo yet. But even from that brief clip, things are already taking a wild turn.

The Aftermath: A Vanishing Act?

In the promo, we see Max getting shoved out of the way while Kyle and Donald rush into the Oval Office. But when they get there—it’s empty.

Hunter, Jason, the Special Forces operatives, and even the bodies that were hanging are gone. Just like that.

So what happened?

Looking ahead at the episode synopses for Episodes 7 and 8, we can start piecing together the next moves.

Episode 7: “If These Walls Could Talk”

The description reveals that the White House is on high alert after Victoria and Eli’s lives were put at risk.

Translation? That shocking ending in Episode 6 wasn’t as final as it looked.

Episode 8: “In Due Time” – The Ultimate Confirmation

This is where it all clicks. The very first line of the synopsis states:

“Eli and Victoria see red after a harrowing move by Hunter.”

That tells us everything.

If they’re seeing red, not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, then they’re clearly still alive. As I suspected, the hanging was never meant to be fatal—it was all about power.

Most likely, they were left injured but not killed, meaning they’ll need medical attention but will live to fight another day.

How Did Hunter Pull It Off?

If you rewatch the scene, you’ll notice something interesting.

We see their feet dangling and their hands struggling—but we don’t get a clear shot of whether the ropes were secured high enough to be lethal.

This suggests they were indeed hung, but not at a height that would kill them.

Instead, it was a calculated move to take them out of the equation temporarily while Hunter solidified his dominance.

What About Victoria’s Father?

Hunter even taunts Victoria, saying:

“If your father was really listening and wanted to stop me, he would have stepped in by now.”

And he’s right.

In the earlier seasons, every time Victoria and Eli had a heated argument in the White House, a phone call would come in the next morning—her father demanding they fall in line.

But now? Radio silence.

Either he’s at d.e.a.t.h.’s door (he was already on his deathbed in Season 2) or he’s simply waiting for the right moment to eliminate everyone and start fresh.

Final Verdict: Eli & Victoria Are NOT D.e.a.d

Let me say it loud and clear:

🔥 Eli and Victoria are NOT d.e.a.d. 🔥

They may be bruised, battered, and out for revenge, but they’re still in the game.

The real question now?

How the hell do they come back from this?

Stay tuned.
