Tyler Perry’s The Oval | Sneak Peek: Hunter Has Reached The End of His Rope With Victoria & Eli
“The Oval” Goes Dark: Hunter’s Ruthless Move Shocks Fans
Shoutout to Taja Simpson for sharing this intense clip from The Oval earlier today. In her caption, she gave a fair warning that this scene might be triggering for some viewers—and for good reason.
To be completely honest, I had to think of multiple ways to title this video without getting demonetized because, well… my goodness!
I don’t actually know if Eli and Victoria are going to die in this episode. If they do, it would be a massive move for the show, but part of me doubts it. The episode synopses have already spoiled a few details, and I feel like The Oval isn’t ready to take that leap just yet.
But one thing’s for sure—The Oval is back with a vengeance!
For the past several seasons, the show has been what I’d call a sleeper hit. And by that, I mean you could literally sleep through it and not miss much. Let’s be real—if you skipped seasons 3 through 5, you wouldn’t have missed anything too important except for the introduction of the Vice President and Second Lady.
But now? Hunter is finally stepping up and making moves!
I mentioned in a previous video how people really started to dislike Hunter when he became obsessed with Sharon. The way he went about it—sending Kyle to snatch her up like she was property—was deeply unsettling. It had the same energy as a slave owner pulling a black woman into the house to keep as his personal concubine.
And now? Now we have a white man in the White House—the President—literally putting a rope around the necks of two black individuals.
The symbolism is undeniable.
People are already drawing comparisons to real-life events, even referencing Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show and its hidden messages. But let’s be clear: This season was filmed way before the 2024 election.
So, no, this isn’t some exaggerated play on recent politics. This was written and shot long before Biden left office. That makes it even more chilling.
In the trailer, I initially thought Hunter was just bluffing—talking big to intimidate Donald. But no. The fact that he has ropes around Eli and Victoria’s necks, standing them on chairs, and ordering his guards to kick the chairs out… it’s insane.
I have a feeling they might not actually die, though.
Why? Because in one of the scenes, it looks like Victoria’s arms are still moving after the chairs are removed. Could this be another Nancy situation? Remember, she tried something similar after overdosing on all those Rakudushi pills, but she survived.
Maybe Eli and Victoria will end up in intensive care instead of the morgue.
Either way—this episode is going to have everyone talking.
And let’s talk about that final shot.
Hunter, just sitting there, cool as ever, smoking a cigar. He isn’t playing around. He’s taking out his enemies one by one.
And if he actually does kill Eli and Victoria?
I don’t even know what to say. This would be one of the boldest moves Tyler Perry has ever made on TV. Sure, A Jazzman’s Blues had a similar moment, but that was a movie. This is cable television!
Taja was absolutely right—this episode is going to be heavy. I really hope there’s a disclaimer before or after the show because this is the kind of scene that could deeply affect viewers.
But what do you think?
Will Eli and Victoria survive? Or is Hunter really about to cross the ultimate line?
