Very Sad News Moira’s Shocking Affair Sealed with an Unexpected Villager Fans Vow Turn Off Emmerdale
Emmerdale fans are convinced Moira Dingle is set to have a steamy affair as they shared their theories on a potential new romance for the character.
Emmerdale’s Moira Dingle, portrayed by Natalie J. Robb, could be heading for a shocking affair, according to fan theories.
The character, who first arrived in the iconic Dales in 2009, has been a hit with audiences ever since.
Moira’s journey on the soap has been filled with highs and lows, including marrying into the Dingle family and dealing with her daughter’s drug overdose, not to mention her numerous passionate affairs.
Recently, Moira received the life-altering diagnosis of a brain tumour, known as a meningioma, after displaying unusual behaviour and suffering seizures. This condition can cause memory loss, confusion, and other symptoms, leaving the Dingle family, including her husband Cain (Jeff Hordley), devastated.
Initially, Moira chose to manage her symptoms with medication rather than undergo surgery. However, after experiencing frightening seizures and pressure from her loved ones, she decided to proceed with the operation, reports Leeds Live.
Moria’s had a dramatic few months
Adding to the drama, the village was recently shaken by the return of Ross Barton (Mike Parr). Fans will remember that Ross, last seen in 2018, is related to Moira.
Ross is the blood nephew of John (James Thornton), Moira’s former husband, making him Moira’s nephew-in-law. In a potential major plot twist, some fans are speculating that Moira and Ross may become romantically involved.
Speculation is rife on Reddit about potential romantic liaisons in the soap world, with one user pondering: “Will Ross and Moria sleep together this time? She has a thing for those Barton’s and there was hints and wind up during the last stint and if she can go with no personality Nate and his dad then?”
Fans reckon Moira will cheat on Cain with Ross
The notion didn’t sit well with all fans. One emphatically remarked: “I was thinking this, if they do, then I will stop watching sorry.”
Another penned their distaste: “Please don’t put that idea into the world. Her sleeping with Pete was disgusting enough,” accompanied by a sick face emoji. Agreement with the aversion was widespread, as another commenter simply responded: “Ewww.”
And bringing a familial angle into their revulsion, another added: “I know it’s only by previous marriage, but she still knew him as a baby. Yuck, yuck, yuck.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
