Wedding drama confirmed for two EastEnders legends as engagement is ‘sealed’
Wedding bells could be ringing out over Walford soon, as Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) prepares to pop the question to his ex-wife Cindy (Michelle Collins) in EastEnders.
But with her affair with Junior Knight (Micah Balfour) ongoing, and old flame David Wicks (Michael French) returning, will they ever make it down the aisle again?
Ian and Cindy first tied the knot in 1989. Their marriage quickly broke down when he found out that their son Steven was actually fathered by Simon Wicks (Nick Berry).
A number of years later, mother and child arrived back in Walford after being abandoned and she quickly fell pregnant with twins Lucy and Peter.
Despite reconciling, Cindy continued to be a serial cheater and fell for David. He became disinterested in her after Ian found out, so she took desperate measures and hired a hitman to kill her husband so that she could have her happy ever after.

Fast forward to last year and Ian had reunited with Cindy in France, and they both moved back to Albert Square when she was told her life was no longer at risk.
She quickly fell back into old habits and kissed George, and then moved onto a steamy fling with her former step-son Junior – who next week confesses that he loves her.
Yikes.
Ian is still blissfully unaware about the latter, and in upcoming scenes he tells Peter and his girlfriend Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) that he planned to propose to Cindy, but fumbled it.
Later, he’s less than impressed to catch her reconnecting with David, who was blissfully unaware that she was actually alive!
As the week goes on, Cindy is forced to juggle a number of tricky situations.
Will Ian finally ask her to be Mrs Beale again? And what will her response be?
…and if she does say yes, what does it mean for her and Junior?
