Why did Moira Dingle kill Emma Barton and who is she? Character ‘returns’ as storyline revisited
Emmerdale's Moira Dingle has been at the centre of a number of dramatic storylines over the years and Monday night will see her past revisited as she's part of a huge barn explosion
Emmerdale viewers will be left gripped to their televisions on Monday night as Moira Dingle causes a huge barn fire.
Only recently, Moira (Natalie J Robb) has caused alarm with her erratic behaviour with memory lapses and violent outbursts. In more worrying developments, Moira recently collapsed and lashed out at Ruby Fox-Milligan (Beth Cordingly) after she jumped to conclusions she was having an affair with her husband Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) following an innocent chat.
Even though she had agreed to undergo blood tests to find out if there was something worrying causing her behaviour, episodes last week revealed that Moira had forgotten her medical appointment entirely, leading a frustrated Cain to storm off. However, things are only going to get worse for Moira on Monday night when she causes a barn fire due to a troubling hallucination.
In the upcoming scenes, Ruby arrives at the barn to gloat but her attitude changes when Moira doesn’t respond to her taunts. As a stressed Moira accidentally spills tractor fuel in the barn, Ruby’s voice starts to blend with that of Emma Barton, Moira’s old nemesis who she killed back in 2017. A disoriented Moira then points her shotgun at a terrified Ruby, seeing Emma instead of her.
