Emmerdale fans are predicting a shock m.u.r.d.e.r twist for abuser Anthony – but it’s not daughter Ruby or Caleb that kills him.

Anthony (Nicholas Day) made his debut this year, as the estranged father of Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly). Anthony’s arrival came after Ruby’s daughter Steph (Georgia Jay) also rocked up to the Dales, more than 10 years since she saw her parents.

Keen to put the past behind them, Steph hoped the Miligan-Fox family could reconcile and move forward, especially as Anthony has been diy aided with cancer. But it was clear there was a lot of history between Ruby and Anthony.

In a bid to keep her daughter Steph close to her, Ruby reluctantly agreed to let Anthony stay in the Dales. Caleb Miligan (William Ash) also appeared to want his wife Ruby to build a new relationship with her dad and give him a chance.

Ruby meanwhile, has been spiralling, suffering from panic attacks. Clearly hiding something big about her dad, Ruby even ended up cheating on Caleb with his half-brother Cain (Jeff Hordley).

However, during Thursday’s instalment (December 12), the truth was finally revealed about Ruby and Anthony – and fans are sickened. In a harrowing flashback episode to Ruby’s 16th birthday party, viewers saw Anthony walk in on Ruby in her bedroom after her party.

Things then took a harrowing turn when he locked the door, to which a distressed Ruby told him: “please not again, not today.”

Back to present day, and the Miligan-Fox family was sitting reminiscing about Ruby’s 16th birthday. Caleb revealed how shortly after Ruby’s party, he got her a cupcake to celebrate. He then hinted that he and Ruby slept together, to which Steph then said: “I always knew I was a 16th birthday baby”.

However, appearing to confirm that Anthony could actually be Steph’s dad, Caleb said to Anthony: “What a loving and caring child we have, eh Anthony?” Anthony then said: “You’re lucky to have her as a daughter, yes.”
