ITV Emmerdale villain Tom King ‘to turn killer’ after brutal Vinny Dingle attack
Emmerdale fans are questioning if Tom King will become a killer like his villainous late father Carl King on the ITV soap, after he seemed to be following a similar path
Emmerdale viewers are speculating that Tom King will become the soap’s next killer, after a violent attack on a character on Thursday.
Tom attacked Vinny Dingle and left him for dead, with him injured and bleeding on the ground. The villain has been targeting his wife Belle Dingle in a coercive control storyline for weeks, isolating her and manipulating her.
But after Vinny came close to discovering that Tom has been stalking wife Belle via an app on her phone, that she doesn’t know he installed, Tom took violent action. Tom hasn’t seen eye-to-eye with Vinny recently, with him secretly jealous of his friendship with Belle.
In the latest episode, Belle and Vinny had gone for a walk with their dogs and Belle had turned off the puppy cam in the house, unaware Tom was using it to spy on her. So when he couldn’t trace her thanks to her phone also breaking, he fled the work event he was at to have it out with Belle.
Vinny had taken Belle’s phone to the scrapyard to fix it for her, and Tom traced the device to this location. Of course he assumed she was there with Vinny, only to realise this was not the case and soon Vinny walked through the door with his dog.

Tom hit him over the head with a paperweight, and realised he was out cold. Shaken over his actions, Tom checked him over before fleeing the scene and leaving him for dead.
Now, fans are speculating the twist could be the start of a darker storyline for Tom that might see him kill someone, ahead of him turning violent with Belle. Given his dad was a killer and he’s displaying dark traits, not to mention his assault on Vinny, all the signs are pointing towards him killing someone to cover his tracks, and his abuse of Belle.
Fans certainly think he could be the next soap murderer, with one fan posting on X: “so are they literally just doing the grey serial killer storyline 2.0?” seemingly referring to EastEnders. Another fan posted: “Apple didn’t fall far from the tree. hes as bad as his father,”as others questioned what his next action will be.
